Resolution 182RESOLUTION NO. /%-2 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS WHASINGTON TO IMPROVE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN SAID CITY BY CONSTRUCTING STANDARD CURBS, GUTTERS, SIDEWALKS, AND RELATED WORK NECESSARY TO MAKE A COMPLETE IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH CITY STANDARDS; CREATING A SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION FUND THEREFORE; AND PROVIDING THAT PAYMENT OF THE COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENT BE MADE BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ON THE SPECIALLY BENEFITTED PROPERTY ABUTTING SAID IMPROVEMENT, BASED ON SPECIAL BENEFITS AND NOT TO EXCEED $4.00 PER ZONED FRONT FOOT THE BALANCE TO BE PAID BY SAID CITY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDSv WASHINGTON: Section 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Edmonds, to order the construction of side- walks, gutters, curbs along and driveways across sidewalks, and related work necessary to make a complete improvement in accordance with city standards on both sides of the following streets within the City of Edmonds: Main Street from 9th Avenue to approximately 200 feet northwest of the 5 Corners intersection (17th Ave. So.) Section 2. The cost of the said improvement shall be borne by the abutting property ownersspecially benefitted thereby, shall be based on special benefits, and shall not exceed $4.00 per zoned front foot, the balance to be paid by said city. Section 3. A sidewalk construction fund shall be created and the specially benefitted abutting property shall be assessed to pay the cost of such improvement in one payment or in installments at the election of the specially benefitted abutting property owner, the times, amounts and interest on the unpaid installments, if any, to be hereafter determined. 312- Section 4. All persons who may desire to appear for or against said improvement herein mentioned are hereby notified to appear at the Council Chambers in the Civic Center in the City of Edmonds, Washington, at a meeting of the said Council, on the 4th day of June, 1968, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. of said day, then and there to present their arguments for or against said improvement, if any they have.
