I am responding in letter form with references as noted to a Drawing Resubmittal, dated 28 August
2015 with all revisions noted by "cloud" and Revision Delta No. 1, in response to your initial comments
on behalf of Public Works Department for the above referenced project. Thank you for sending my
office your comments regarding Trash Enclosure size and location preferences in your Memo dated 7
August 2015.
The new Trash Enclosure is located and identified on the Site Plan on Sheet A-1 of both submittals for
this project, BLD2015-0891 (Infant Building) and BLD2015-0962 (Main Building).
As I noted in previous correspondence to you, I was unable to locate a more convenient location for the
Trash Enclosure than approximately where the bins have been located for the past number of years, but
out in the open in the sideyard without an enclosure. Obviously, the Trash Haulers have been able to
manage the pickup at this location though not from an approved enclosure, and the location is probably
the most accessible location considering the somewhat restricted access to the rear (east) parking area.
You will note that Jennifer Lambert in the Engineering Department has required us to provide signage
and pavement markings in order to direct traffic circulation for cars around the east side of the Infant
Building due the existing, restricted clearances.
I believe I have incorporated the design criteria you have provided for the enclosure and the drawings
and details are as referenced on the Site Plan as Details 9/A-11 and 10/A-11. Please refer to the new
Details on Sheet A-11 for your review.
