03/08/1994 City CouncilEDMONDS CITY COUNCIL APPROVED MINUTES March 8, 1994 THESE MINUTES WERE APPROVED BY THE EDMONDS CITY COUNCIL AT THEIR MARCH 15, 1994 COUNCIL MEETING The special meeting of the Edmonds City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Pro-Tem Nordquist at the Library Plaza Room, 650 Main St., Edmonds. All present joined in the flag sa- lute. PRESENT Laura Hall, Mayor, ABSENT John Nordquist, Mayor Pro-Tem Steve Dwyer, Councilmember Michael Hall, Councilmember William Kasper, Councilmember, ABSENT Dave Earling, Councilmember, ABSENT Barbara Fahey, Councilmember Tom Petruzzi, Councilmember Damon Guilfoyle, ABSENT STAFF Paul Mar, Community Srv. Dir Art Housler, Admin. Srv. Dir. Rob Chave, Planning Manager Dan Prinz, Police Chief Bob Alberts, City Engineer Noel Miller, Public Works Supt. Rhonda March, City Clerk Barb Mehlert, Recorder Mayor Pro-Tem Nordquist said Mayor Hall is recovering from surgery and is not present tonight. Mayor-Pro-Tem Nordquist and the Council wished Mayor Hall a rapid recovery. Mayor Pro-Tem Nord- quist asked for a backup Mayor Pro-Tem in the case he or Councilmember Kasper is not available. COUNCILMEMBER PETRUZZI MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER FAHEY TO NOMINATE COUNCILMEMBER DWYER.AS SUBSTITUTE MAYOR -PRO TEM IF REQUIRED. MOTION CARRIED. Councilmember Petruzzi added Item 2A to the Agenda "Consideration of Resolution to honor -Friends of the Library". COUNCILMEMBER PETRUZZI MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER DWYER, TO APPROVE THE AGENDA WITH THIS CHANGE. MOTION CARRIED. 1 REVIEW AND FINALIZE COUNCIL RETREAT AGENDA Mayor Pro-Tem Nordquist.finalized the Agenda with Councilmember input. CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION FOR FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY It was the consensus of the Council to place this resolution on the March 22nd Agenda, as well as a Councilmember attend a future Friends of the Library Meeting to present the resolution to them. EXECUTIVE SESSION The City Council recessed at 7:15 p.m. to the scheduled Executive Session to discuss Labor Negoti- ations. Following the Labor Negotiations at 7:30, the Council met in their respective Committees. 0. - �NDAO.
