0006.900000 <br />WSS /gjz <br />3/18/04 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3497 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, <br />WASHINGTON, AMENDING PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 3478, ANNUAL SALARY ORDINANCE FOR BUDGET <br />YEAR 2004, AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL <br />BECOME EFFECTIVE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the creation of an Economic <br />Development Director as part of the 2004 budget year process, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the reclassification of the Human <br />Resources Technician/Analyst position as part of the 2004 budget year process; and <br />WHEREAS, a review of salaries related to certain positions indicates that the <br />salaries may not be comparable to other positions within the region and against positions with <br />responsibilities within the City, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council deems such increase to be appropriate, so long as <br />any increase remains within the salary range for the position as established by the City Council, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section 1 of the annual salary ordinance for budget year 2004, <br />Ordinance No. 3478, is hereby amended to include the position of Economic Development <br />Director, reclassify the Human Resources Technician/Analyst to Human Resources Manager, <br />IWSS567211.DOC;1 /00006.900000/} - I - <br />
