SEction 1: It shall be and is hereby declared unlawful for any person
<br />of persons, male of female, under.the age of Sixteen (16) years, to.con-
<br />gregate, loiter, or.be upon the streets, avenues, alleys, docks, or other
<br />public places, within the limits of the City, of Edmonds, during the months
<br />of May June, July, August or September, between the hours of ten o'.clock
<br />P. M., and five o'clock A. M. and during the remaining months of the year
<br />between the hours of nine -thirty o'clock P. M., and five o'clock A..M.,
<br />unless such person or persons shall be accompanied by his, her or their
<br />parent, guardian or other person having the legal custody of such minor,
<br />or some other member of the family over twenty-one years of age, provid-
<br />ing that this Ordinance shall not apply to such person or persons who -are
<br />required to be in or upon such public place by reason of actual employment.
<br />Section,-2: The time herein referred to shall mean United States Pacific
<br />Jar Time.
<br />Section 3: Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance
<br />or and parent, guardian or other person having the legal custody or care of
<br />such minor person or persons, described in Section 1 of this Ordinance,
<br />and who shall permit or suffer such minor person or persons to go or be in
<br />or upon any of the streets of other public places, as aforesaid, within the
<br />times mentioned in Section 1 hereof, except as therein provided, shall be
<br />deemed guilty of a misdeameanorand upon conviction thereof shall be fined
<br />in any sum not exceeding Fifty 450.00) Dollars or be confined in the City
<br />Jail for a period not exceeding ten (10) days or shall be punished by both
<br />such fine or imprisonment.

<br />Attorney 0 D. Anderson was instructed to prepare andOrdinance to be presented
<br />to the Council next meeting, regulating the sprinkling during the summer
<br />Sproule McGinness requested that something be done to prevent water running
<br />onto his property at sixth and Maple streets, this was referreddtbl-.the
<br />street committee.
<br />Councilman Jones reported a complaint of dumping of oil on the street from
<br />the Hopper Chevrolet Company, which was referred to the Chief of Police
<br />Roy Degneau.
<br />Water Superintendent R. H. Doty reported the new pump fdr South Edmonds
<br />was expected to arrive by June first.
<br />Mayor Pourtner called the attention of the Council to an item mentioned in
<br />the State examiners report of interest on bonds due the City of Edmonds
<br />from the State Bank of Edmonds. This was laid over until the next meeting
<br />of the Council.

<br />The council met in regular session with Mayor Fourtner presiding, The roll
<br />call showed the following Councilmen present, Chandler, Roscoe, Hansen, Jones
<br />Savage land Clausen.
<br />The Treasurers and water collectors reports were read and ordered filled.
<br />A Motion eras moved and seconded that the bills which were approved by the
<br />finance committee be paid out of the proper funds. Motion carried.
