A motion was made by Councilman McGibbon and seconded by Savage that an <br />Ordinance be drawn up, if necessary,to have the residence water meters <br />read every two month andthe business water meters read every month and bills <br />be sent out every two months. Councilmen Clausen and Chandler- stated that <br />they were not in favor of making the change. A vote of the council showed <br />Chandler no, Jones no, Clausen no, McGibbon yes, McDonell yes, Hansen yea <br />Mayor Fourtner vote yes. A motion was made <br />by McGibbon and seconded by Clausen that he,be given permission to do this <br />work under the supervision of the street superintendent. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Jones.reported_thatthe boy.scout Master Ross Waggoner would <br />like permission to built a recreation building for the Boy Scouts on the <br />City Park property. Councilman Savage made a motion that they be given <br />permission to build, but -they are to present a.plan of the same to the <br />Council. RcGibbon seconded the motion. Eotion carried. <br />Councilman Clausen reported on the extending of the water line south of the <br />City limits. He stated that we should go through this summer and be sure <br />that to have sufficient water, and that the City is in no position to give <br />these people water at this time. <br />Mayor i'ourtner reported he had secured two men for the Police work. C. W. <br />Hawkings for the Chief of Police work and B..K, Montgomery for the police <br />who is subject to call. A motion was made by Chandler and seconded by <br />McGibbon that the Mayor be given the authority to purchase a set of police <br />equipment for,the police department. Motion carried. <br />The petition for the sidewalk, curb and gutter along.l'ifth Avenue was laid <br />over until the next meeting of the Council <br />There being no further business the meeting adjourned. <br />Ci y Clerk Mayor <br />
