Passed by a unaminous vote of the council. <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION N0. 117. <br />Aresolution declaring the intention of the City�Gduneil of the City of <br />Edmonds to improve Fifth Street from the center line of Maple Street to the <br />center line. of Dayton Street; to improve Maple, Otreet! froth' theeatnteri-ne <br />line of Maple Street to the center line of Dayton Street; to improve Maple <br />Street from the center line of Fifth Street to the center line of Eleventh <br />Street; to improve Alder street from the - center line of Ninth Street to the <br />center line of Eleventh Street; to improve walnut Street, rrom the center <br />line of Ninth Street, to the center line of Eleventh Street; to improve <br />Ninth Street from the center line of Walnut Street to the center line of <br />Maple Street by the construction and installation of.a combination sanitary <br />and storm sewer, together with the necessary manholes, inlets and appmrten- <br />anoes and such other work as may be necessary to make a complete improvement; <br />providing that the payment for said improvement be made by special assess- <br />meat on the property in .said district under the mode of payment by bonds for <br />materials used, fixed estimate and all other eApenses; and providing further, <br />that the South half of Block 96 and the North half of Block 95, in, the Plat <br />of the City of Edmonds be ,exempt from such, special assessments. . <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS: <br />1. That it is the intention of the City council of the City of Edmonds, <br />Snohomish County, Washington, to improve Fifth Street from the center line <br />of Maple Street to the center line of Dayton Street; to improve Maple Street <br />from the center line of. Fifth Street to the center line of Eleventh Street; <br />to, improve Alder Street from the center line of Ninth Street to the center <br />line of Eleventh Street; to improve Walnut Street from the center line of <br />Ninth Street to the center line.of Eleventh Street; to improve Ninth Street <br />from the center line of Walnut,Street to the center line of Maple Stteet <br />by the construction and installation of a combination sanitary and storm <br />sewer, together with the necessary manholes., inlets and appurtenances and <br />such other 'work as may be necessary to make a complete improvement. <br />2. That the cost and expense of all materials required to make a complete <br />improvement, the fixed estimate and all other expenses of every, kind• shall <br />be, made- by special assessment; a Loaal Impr-ovement District shall be estab- <br />lished embracing as near as maybe all. the property specially benefitted <br />by such improvement, and such specially benefited property shall b,e assessed <br />to pay for the entire a os.t of such improvement; provided that the -South half <br />of Block 96 and the North half of Block 95 .in the .Plat of the City of Edman'ds <br />be exempt from any special ass'essment's. <br />3. All,persone who may desire to object to the improiement herein mentioned <br />are hereby notified to appear at the Council Chambers in the City Hall, in <br />the City of Edmonds, Washington, at a meeting of the said Council on the let <br />day of April, 1947 at the hour of eight aloloek P. M.,' of said day, then and <br />there to present their objections thereto if any they have. <br />4. The City Engineer of the said City of Edmonds is hereby directed to' sub- <br />mit to the City Council, at or priorto said let day of April, 1947, the <br />estimated cost and expense of the improvement, in this Resolution mentioned, <br />and a statement of the proportionate amount thereof which shall be borne <br />by the property within the proposed Improvement District:; and a statement <br />of the aggregate assessed valuation of the real estate, exclusive of improve- <br />ments, within said proposed Improvement District, according to the valuation <br />last platted upon it for general taxation, together with a diagram or print <br />showing thereon the lots, tracts or parcels of land and other property <br />which will be specially benefited thereby, and the estimated amount of the <br />cost and expense of such improvement to be borne by each lot, tract, parcel <br />or land or other property. <br />Passed•by the City•Coaneil of the.City of Edmonds this 4th day of March, <br />1947f and approved the same date. <br />F.
