19601206 City Council Minutes21 December 6, 1960 Regular meeting was called to order by Mayor Maxwell with all councilman present. Motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman Lambe that the City accept the proposal of Foster and MP"rshall as financial advisers and that they -'make up the prospectus for the Civic Center Bond Sale. Motion carried. , Bids were opened on Fuel oil for the City Halle They were - Diesel Oil Sales Co. Union Oil Company .126 ®1�5 A motion was made by Councilman Simpson, seconded by Councilman Christensen that the bid from Union Oil Co. be accepted, supplying the fuel oil requirements for the City in.1961 and the Mayor authorized to enter into contract with them© Motion carried. Bids were opened for gasoline for the City vehicles. Bids were: Union Oil Company .253 Ethyl .213 Regular Standard Oil Company .25 Supreme .215 Regular Motion was made by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Slye that the bid of Standard Oil Company be accepted for supplying gasoline for the City vehicles for the year 1961. Motion carried. A motion was made by Councilman Slye, seconded by'Councilman Tuson that the City Attorney be instructed to draw up -an ordinance permitting the operation of pin ball machines in the taverns only in the City of Edmonds. Motion carried. Meeting then recessed until Tuesday, December 13th. December 13, 1960 Recessed meeting was called to order with all councilman present except Harrison. Motion was made by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Lambe to adopt Resolution -� giving the City of Edmonds authority to transfer unexpended funds within the general fund. Motion carried. Motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Co_ncilman Lambe that the City Attorney be instructed to draw up an emergency ordinance giving the City permission to spend the addi- tional money in the Water Department. Motion carried. A complaint was made by Mr. Bushey of 15th and Juniper regarding a "rabbits at large" diff- iculty which was declared to be an administrative problem. Motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman Slye that the Attorney incorp- orate in the ordinance regarding pin ball machines, a provision for the taxing of each machine at the rate of $25.00 per month. Motion carried. Motion was made by Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Simpson that the engineer be instructed to establish a grade at Pine and 13th ave. south. Motion carried. Motion was made by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman Simpson, confirming the Mayor's appointment of Harve Harrison as Chairman of the Board of Appeals in connection with the Building Code. Motion carried. There was a discussion and it was decided to sell the City's "Warco" street grader to Mountlake Terrace for the amount of $900.00.
