MOTION CARRIED. <br />It was determined that the salary ordinance would not be passed at this time as it was felt the <br />Department Heads' salaries needed.further consideration. <br />COUNCILMAN NORDQUIST MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILWOMAN ALLEN, THAT THE'1981 BUDGET BE PASSED WITH THE <br />CORRECTIONS'AS SUBMITTED TODAY. The final figures will be incorporated into a new Exhibit A. COUNCILMAN NORDQUIST MOVED, SECONDED <br />BY COUNCILWOMAN ALLEN, TO APPROVE THE.BALANCE OF THE CONSENT -AGENDA. MOTION CARRIED. The approved <br />items on the Consent Agenda included the following: <br />(A) Roll call. <br />(B) Approval of Minutes of December 16 and 20, 1980. <br />(C) Report on bids opened.December.23, 1980 for Anderson Center reroofing, and award of contract <br />to General Repairs of Tacoma, Washington, in the amount of $23,767.15 plus sales tax. <br />(D) Acknowledgment of receipt:of Claim for Damages from Alan R. Mork in the amount of $157.95. • <br />(E) Approval of Equipment Rental Rates for,1981. <br />(H) Approval of revised contract for geotechnical study.for Anderson Center library. <br />(I) Passage of Resolution 483, transferring monies from Contingency Fund to Street Fund'. <br />(J) Adoption of Ordinance 2187 - Traffic Code amendments. <br />AUTHORIZATION TO EXECUTE�CONTRACT FOR NORTH'MEADOWDALE LAND MOVEMENT SURVEY WITH <br />HUGH,GOLDSMITH-ASSOCIATES, INC. [Item (F) on Consent Agenda] <br />Councilwoman Allen said she had thought this study already was -underway. Public Works Director Fred <br />Herzberg responded that it is, but that this was one step in finding out how fast the land is moving, <br />and this.was one part of what will be a.series of readings over a period of time. He.said these <br />people are the ones who -did the job for Roger Lowe Associates on the original study. 'He was questioned <br />about the cost and said it will'cost $3,000 to survey ten..points. Mayor Harrison felt that was <br />excessive, and Mr. Herzberg responded-that'it was not for something like this. After further questioning, <br />COUNCILWOMAN ALLEN MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN KASPER, TO AUTHORIZE THIS, APPROVING ITEM (F) ON <br />THE CONSENT AGENDA. Councilman.Gould felt that if this were to be.done again it should be questioned <br />whether that much money -should be spent.for subsequent studies. He also noted that it may be that <br />subsequent studies -will not be`so costly.
