Holland Water/Sewer Division SUJBECT: WILLOW TREE - 1161 "A" AVENUE There is an 8" sewer line in the easement of the old vacated alley behind 1161 "A" Ave. We are requesting that the willow tree behind this address be cut down and the stump removed. The reason for the removal of this tree is the tree has caused continual root problems in our sewer line. We have hit roots at 60' from manhole #202-12, and the tree is approximately 70' from this manhole. It practically sits on top of our sewer line. We also would like to request that a letter be written to the homeowner at 631 Elm Street notifying them that manhole #202-12 will have to be raised to the grade of the existing ground level. City crews can then easily maintain the 8" sewer line that runs through this yard and through 1161 "A" Avenue. This way, if in the future we have any problems with this line, it can be taken care of in the least amount of time possible.
