Dayton St., Edmonds, WA has contracted us to replace the fire alarm panel and related devices in the newest section (building 3) of their hotel The new system components will consist of a Silent Knight addressable 5820XL fire alarm panel, addressable smoke and heat detectors and pull stations. The existing mini horns and horn strobes will also be replaced. The owner also understands that the first two buildings' notification appliances need to be upgraded. Onscene found NE wing in alarm as it was at 0230 hrs. Were unable to locate a problem and attempted to reset alarm. Alarm went back into alarm mode. Re -checked NE wing from the inside and the outside. Placed alarm system OOS and advised onsite manager they would have to post a fire watch. Do to the type of occupancy and the number of guests still sleeping I advised they would have to walk the halls every 15-20 minutes until alarm was repaired and returned to service. Stayed onscene until alarm service company was contacted.
