The city requires that the flows are instead pumped uphill to a storm drainage conveyance pipe located in 68`h Ave. W. In addition, the city also requires that the flows are first routed through a detention system prior to being pumped. DETENTION AND PUMP CALCULATIONS DISCUSSION: The amount of impervious area created by this single family development is calculated to be 4,926 square feet. Since this is below the 5,000 sf city threshold, the detention pipe was sized using the city of Edmonds Standard Drainage Detention Worksheet. Flows from the detention pipe will be released via a 7/8" orifice into a catch basin in which a pump will be installed. The flows will then be pumped up to 68t' Ave. W. An emergency spreader trench overflow system is also designed. Performance criteria parameters are given for the pump. Using Water Works, it was determined that the flow from the developed site will result in an undetained flow of 0.18 cfs for the 100-Yr storm event. This is the design flow for the pump.
