Here's part of the letter I'm writing to the company. My inclination is to allow the production so long as the
garage door is open and. a mechanical fan is used to move the fumes/vapors outside the building for 30
minutes after production. I liken this to an existing auto garage utilizing passive ventilation where a
mechanical fan can help push the hazardous products out. Please tell me what your thoughts are from the

Thank you for meeting with me on -site last Monday.
I believe that the existing ceiling mechanical fan & duct draws the fumes to the top of the ceiling where it can exfiltrate to the suite
adjacent to you. Our discussion involved your current and future activities in your warehouse/production space.
Currently, you are -no longer making lacquer -based applications -the cause of the odor complaints. You will no longer use the
unlisted unapproved homemade production drying oven. You will have the fire extinguisher serviced within 30 days.
In the future you intend to use West System Inc. epoxy resin and hardeners continuing your limited experimental development
that includes fiberglass boat production within your 728 s.f. work area.
I have Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) for the following materials that will be used in production:
West System 105 Epoxy Resin (on -site max qty one gallon)
West System 205 Fast hardener (on -site max qty one quart)
West System 206 Slow hardener (on -site max qty one quart).
All materials pose a limited physical hazard for flammability, categorized as Class 1116 combustible liquids in a "use -open" method.
The 205 and 206 materials pose a moderate health concern as with short exposure could cause serious temporary or residual
injury through acute and chronic skin contact and inhalation, according to the MSDS. Your liquid quantities are small, however,
the "use -open" production will allow a fume -production level of unknown concentration. This can affect your health and the health
of others in the building with the limited existing ventilation arrangement.

data by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has concluded that DGEBPA is not classified as a
carcinogen.
Epichlorohydrin, an impurity in this product (<5 ppm) has been reported to produce cancer in laboratory animals
and to produce mutagenic changes in bacteria and cultured human cells. It has been established by the International
Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as a probable human carcinogen (Group 2A) based on the following
conclusions: human evidence — inadequate; animal evidence — sufficient. It has been classified as an anticipated
human carcinogen by the National Toxicology Program (NTP).
