Re: 17415 76"' Ave W, Edmonds, WA
Dear Property Owners,
It has come to the City's attention that there is a significant increase of stormwater runoff and ground water
flowing from yotir property down the private road, into the storm system of the properties to the north and
on to 76th Ave W. The storm system in the private road is specifically sized to handle the runoff from the
road and the properties along the road. Additional runoff fironi your site compromises the Systems
effectiveness bringing it out of compliance with city storinwater code. Another issue is the runoff maybe
causing silt or sediment to enter the storm system which is an illicit discharge violation per Edmonds
Community Developnient Code Chapter 7.200 and could accrue Fines up to $500 daily,. During freezing
temperatures the: wet slicks on the private road and contintiing north on, 761x' have frozen creating a
significant safety li-azard. The significant Volumes of rainfall have exacerbated the problem making, it
imperative that the issue be addressed immediately, There are stormwater mitigation handouts available on
our website (Edmondswa.gov, Billow Services/Permits and Development, then scroll down to Engineering
Handouts.) The E72 series discusses stormwater mitigation for new development but you may find some
helpful information regarding types of mitigation systems. There is a City storm main running along the
South of your property so there is a possibility of connecting an outfall there if needed.
