Dear Mr. Palmer,
Our records indicate that you are the owner of the subject property. We have received a
complaint that the trees along the fiont of your property are making it difficult to see on-
coming traffic on 76th Avenue West. City staff has investigated the matter and
detennined the trees in question do, in fact, create a sight distance hazard.
In order to reduce the hazard and improve safety for you and others, please trim your
trees so as not to obscure visibility of the motoring public or pedestrians. This can be
achieved by trimming 4 feet further back, horizontally from the road edge, to a height of
10 feet. Your cooperation in bringing the shrubs and/or trees into compliance is
appreciated. If you are not able to complete the necessary trimming by March 12, 2001
the Street Maintenance Workers will be instructed to remove vegetation. Please note that
the City is not responsible for trimming aesthetics nor warranty of future plant viability.
