Vegetation blocking vision to drivers at the comer
Dear Mr. Eno:
The City was contacted to investigate a sight obstruction blocking driver's vision as they
nd
turn. onto 72 Ave W at. 179"' ST SW. 'Upon investigation, it was determined that you
need to remove and relocate the. canopy. structure that covers the vehicle stored within the
right-of-way, as it is blocking the abili ty of drivers to see oncoming traffic', pedestrians,
bicycles, and particularly small children that are walking to the school bus stop; The City
also asks that you relocate the storage area of that vehicle that is located at the comer to

another location, so that vision is not obstructed to 72 Ave W.
Additionally, the. City asks that you trim the vegetation at the comer to a maximum.
height of three (3) feet in height.
A copy of the Edmonds Community Development Code is attached 'for your reference.

A formal complaint has been received by the City regarding an evergreen shrub that is
planted near the southeast corner of your property. While it appears that you have
made efforts to keep this shrub trimmed to. prevent sight obstruction, it needs a more
severe.trm*iming.
Please remember drivers approaching the corner of 179th St. S.W. and 72nd Ave. W.
have eye heights of approximately three and one-half feet when they are sitting in their
vehicles.

the final street patch is completed, at which time a debit or credit will be
processed for issuance to the applicant.
Work is subject to inspection and restoration in accordance with City Code. A
24-hour notice is required for inspection by Engineering. Call 775-2525, ext. 220.
