using a mechanical dust control system?
2) Regarding the need for grounding the silo for lightning
protection, I'll defer to the manufacturer's instructions, please
submit those manufacturer's specifications and instructions with
your application.

Here are the responses to your questions. The first answer is directly from the manufacturer's rep for the
silo, Tom Helman of Bratney Companies in Spokane, the second question is answered by me:
1) The bin does not require any electrical service. As it is only a standalone material storage device it does
not have any operational or safety specifications. It is filled by a pnuematic system that is mounted on a
delivery truck. The bin is vented to allow for air displacement as product flows into the bin. To my
knowledge there is no dust emissions from the vent tube while filling.
2) The means of conveyance to the processing area is an auger. This is a completely encolsed system
w hich will move the grain from the silo to our existing mill room. From there, there is no difference from
the process that we have used for the last 3 years. We have a mill room which is vented and can be
closed off to reduce dust propogation to the building. The grain is milled and then augered once again to
the mash tun. The mash tun is where we 'steep' the grain to extract the starches and convert them to
sugers. The wet, spent grain is then collected and sent to local farmers as feed for cattle and other farm
animals.

The DMP Model 1812 Command Processor provides many
unique applications and sales closing features that result in
higher profits for you and your company.
FIRE CONTROL �
DMP dealers can now secure a large portion of the UL fire
market. The Model 1812 is listed for household fire, remote
station, Central Station, proprietary and local protective signal-
ing. Because the 1812 is power limited, UL listed fire cable may
be used in DMP installations rather than costly conduit, reducing
installation costs. All 48 individual points of protection may report
to the central station and annunciate on the alphanumeric
display, pinpointing any alarmed or trouble smoke, heat or rate -
of -rise detectors. The 1812 features bell supervision, door strikes,
system test, alarm memory, emergency backup power, backup
communication, and smoke detector reset. The relay outputs
may be programmed to operate elevator recall, door release,
automatic smoke detector reset, etc. Built-in loop retard delays
allow you to install waterflow switches without timers, which
further reduces the hardware costs of each fire installation.
BURGLAR CONTROL
The Model 1812 is listed for local, police connected, Central
Station, digital and household burglar alarm systems. It can be
custom tailored to fit the needsof each installation. In additionto
standard All/Perimeter arming, eachsystem maybeprogrammed
to use DMP's unique Area Arming mode. Area Arming allows
your subscriber to arm and/or disarm each area independently.
Various sections of the system can be armed while others remain
disarmed. In addition, employees are authorized to disarm
certain areas according to their user defined code number. It's
like having 8 separate alarm systems in one.
EASY TO USE
The 1812 system is very easy to use. The English name of
violated or troubled loops display automatically on the industry's
most thorough alphanumeric keypad.*The 1812 monitors AC
powar, ba&up power supply, panel tamper, ground supervision,
bell supervision and auxiliary and bell fuses. Any trouble condi-
tions are displayed in plain English. By glancing at the keypad
you know exactly what is happening and where.
REDUCE EXPENSES, INCREASE REVENUES
You can provide the user with more benefits; reduce service
calls; increase monitoring revenues; reduce installation time,
labor and hardware costs and close more sales with the Model
1812. It isable to transmit the greatest amount of information to
your Central Station. This provides you with an excellent oppor-

increase in cost. It can transmit up to 48 loop numbers and their
English names, 100 user codes, 65,535 different account num-
ber, additions and deletions of user codes and/or opening
schedules, looptrouble, alarm and restoral messages in English,
opening and closing by user and area, door strike accessed by
user number and much more. Whether your needs are large or
small, the UL listed DMP Model 1812 Command Processor

Model 670,770, and 771
Security CommandO Keypads
Description
The DMP 670, 770, and 771 Security Command keypads
provide an attractive, lowprofile user friendly control for use
with all DMP command processor panels. Each keypad
connects to the panel through a 4-wire cable and allows
system eventsto beviewed on a highlyvisible, 16character
fluorescent blue display. Each keypad also provides a
green LED to indicate Ahe presence of AC power to the
panel.
The DIVIP 771 Security Command is a full function keypad
that provides four programmable Class B protection loops
for connecting devices directly to the keypad. These loops
can be individually programmed with any loop type. The
771 also provides a panic feature and a SPDT dry contact
doorstrike relay for controlling passage into secured areas.
When a code number is accepted using the Door Access
feature, the relay activates for five seconds. A report of this
entry can be transmitted to a DMP SCS-1 receiver at the
central station.
The DMP 770 Security Command provides the same
features as the 771 except the door strike relay. Protection
devices can be connected to the four protection loops on
the keypad and programmed with any loop type.
The DIVIP 670 Security Command is identical in design to
the 770 and 771, but does not contain the door strike relay,
four programmable protection loops or panic feature. The
670 is designed for installations where devices are easily
wired back to the panel and where there is no need to
control door strikes near the keypad.
Built-in diagnostics. on the 670, 770, and 771 Security
Commands allow security companies to test their operation
at any time. Service technicians can test the prewarn tone,
AC LED, all 16 keys, each segment of the display, the four
device loops on the 770 and 771, and the door strike relay
of the 771.

POLARIZED BELL MODULE

INSTALLATION/WIRING
The Model 866 Polarized Bell Module is installed onto the side of the Model 1812 control cabinet with three #8 screws provided.
IftheModeI1812 2 amp 12 VDC is being used to drive the bell circuit, Terminals 3 and 4 of the Model 866 should be jumpered
together. This allows the Model 1812 to give an alarm input to switch the bell module, as well as power to drive the bells. If
an auxiliary power supply is used, the Model 1812 bell output provides only the alarm input on Terminal 3 of the bell module.
The auxiliary power supply is connectedto Terminal 4 of the be!I module to provide powerto the bell circuit. The auxiliary power
supply trouble loop is not needed when the bell power is supplied by the 1812.

A bell silence switch is provided for use during system testing. When the switch is in the silence position a bell circuit trouble

will be indicated to the Bell Output of the Model 1812, (Terminal 4) and the bell trouble contacts of the Model 866, (Terminal.

Description
The DS250 series are low profile, Photo-
electric system type smoke detectors.
They incorporate a separate detector/
base design that permits use with both
2-wire and 4-wire bases. A magnet ac-
tivated test feature and a voltage output
provide the ability to confirm sensitivity
within factory calibration limits. A unit
with a 1350 heat sensing thermistor is
also available.
Operation
The detector has an Alarm reset with
power interruption of I second. Factory
calibrated for nominal 3.2%/ft. gray
smoke obscuration.
Mounting
Compatible with 2-wire or 4-wire bases.
Bases may be mounted directly to 4-
inch octagonal electrical boxes, single
gang switch boxes, and wiremold sur-
face box #5738. Large diameter bases
also allow 4"square box mounting.
Different diameter bases and several
different output configurations provide
application flexibility. See Base Selec-
tion Guide on next page.

Alarm Output
The Alarm/Test LED flashes briefly
every seven seconds to indicate that the
detector has power and that the smoke
sampling circuitry is functioning. The LED
latches ON in the event of an alarm.
Signal output is dependent on base sel-

Tat Features
To meet the NFPA 72 testing recom-
mendations, the DS250 series feature a
unique magnet operation/sensitivity
test function and a direct voltage meas-
urement test of the sensitivity. The de-
tector operation is tested by placing a
magnet next to the unit which activates
an internal reed switch. if the detector is
within its calibrated obscuration range,
it will immediately signal an alarm. if the
detector is outside of its calibrated ob-
scuration range, the alarm LED will flash
at different rates to indicate whether the
unit is above or below the proper cal-
ibration. A voltage output is also avail-
able, which allows direct reading of the
sensitivity level using a stanaard bVM.

cies in the range from 26 to 950 Mega-
hertz using a 50 watt transmitter locat-

The model 904D2 incorporates a phone line monitor for
the main and backup P1110110 lines. When a signal is to be
transmitted the 98402 will Immediately select the phone
line whiCh is functional begkr*V with the main IM first. If
the backup Ift is bad all dial attempts will be made on the
main line and vice -versa.
The yellow whv lead from the 96402 should be connected
to the rVit harV side of any Wp on the COMMAND
