SUBJECT: Asphalt Paving/Sealing Within City Right -of -Way

Our records indicate that you are the property owner of 18509 73rd Ave. W. It has been brought to our
attention that a contractor has performed some asphalt paving and/or sealing of your driveway and/or
parking area adjacent to your property. Paving activity within the City right-of-way requires an
approved right-of-way construction permit.
It appears as though several residences on 73rd Ave. W have completed this work with some joint
efforts. The City of Edmonds will only require one right-of-way construction permit d to be obtained by
each contractor involved in performing this work within the given project area of 73' Ave W
(Olympic View Drive to 182 d St. SW). A separate permit will not be required for each individual
property, however it remains the property owners responsibility to ensure all required pen -nits are
obtained.
Please coordinate with the other properties involved to have the contractor(s) obtain a right-of-way
construction permit from the City of Edmonds. The contractor will need to provide their state
contractors license number, their City business license number, and sign for the pen -nit. 3 copies of a
site plan will also be required as an attachment to the permit, showing the project area and detail of
work performed at each of the property.
The right-of-way construction permit must be obtained no later than September 6, 2004 to prevent
code enforcement action. Double permit fees will be assessed for failure to obtain permit prior to
