RE: Pre-Perr.nit Approval fbr the filling in of a swimming pool located at 18820 901b Place, owned
by M/M Andrew AsImakopoulos and possible impacts to the Hutt Park #517 bald eagle mt.
Dear Lauza,
Per our phone conversation today, I am forwarding you this letter to reiterate the fact that the
approval of a permit to allow the above landowners to fill in an existing swimming pool does not
conflict with bald eagles, provided that all activities will be completed prior to February I or after
Juno 15 of any given year, The prope* is locAted 625 fCt south of the nest which was active this
year. Based on the distance and screening between the nest and the proposed activity, and limiting
the timing of project activities to occur outside of the critical time of the breeding smon. I do not
believe this project will have any significant impact to the eagles or their habitat. After speaking with
Carol Asiumkopoulos today, it is my understanding that they would like to be& a soon = pmjblo
and heavy equipment use, etr— will be completed prior to die birds retuning In early February.
However, a dming restriction between February I and June 15 should be a conWfion of any permit
needed by the City of Edmonds.
Please call me (425) 379-2301 If you have additional que5tions,
Sincerely,
Steve Negri
