Dear Ms. Askew:
SUBJECT: ACCOUNT #306-12000 - 18832-78TH AVE. W.
PETER E. HAHN
DIRECTOR
After reading your letter and talking with you, I had our meter
reader check your meter to see if there was a leak. The meter showed
there was no usage for a four-hour period.
The usage you-showpd was higher than your average bill, but during
the same periods in the past year it was also higher than average.
I can see no reason to allow for a credit. At your request, we
could check the meter for a charge ofi,$7.00, however, I feel this would
be -unnecessary.
If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call at
771-3202, extension 296.
Sincerely,

Dear Sir,
I am writing in regards to our last water bill received the first
part of September in which we were billed for $103.80. It was
certainly a shock when our bills have been averaging somewhere
around $40.00 to $45.00. Upon receiving the. -bill I called to see
what recourse I had and I was told none, as it was on my side of
the meter. Are you sure this is my problem? Could there be a
problem with the meter? I would suppose they can wear out as
most other things do. This is but a thought, but one to be -
considered.

I called a Plumber to come in as soon as I received the bill
to check all the toilets, etc. for leaks. He did put in some
new seals in the toilet and check everything else out for leaks.
Even with that minor repair it is hard for me to believe that we
could consume 21-, times the amount of water that is our normal
use.
Also during that period of time we were all away on vacation
for 13-2 weeks during this billing period which should have reflected
a decrease in our bill.
I would really appreciate your reviewing this matter and getting
back to me with the necessary adjustment.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and I will be awaiting
your reply.
Sincerely,
Connie Askew
