ALLEGATIONS OF APPLICANT
POINT 1. The following are the special circumstances which apply to my property
which deprive me of rights and privileges which are enjoyed by other properties in
the vicinity under the identical zone classification.

POINT 2. The variance I am requesting will not be detrimental to the public wel-
fare or .injurious to the properties or improvements in the vicinity of a zone in
which my property is located because:
The additional traffic volume will not exceed a 30% increase in the existing
traffic use on the average the increase will result in 12 vehicals using
the drive versus 8 vehicals in a 24hr period.
POINT 3. If this variance is not granted, an unnecessary hardship will continue
to the owner of this property, the cause of which is beyond his control because:
Based on the physical terrain and existing home placement{ there is not
another feasable way to'gain access to the subject lot. If the variance
is denied the property will be rendered landlocked with no usable access.
POINT 4. So as not to grant a special privilege to me by the granting of this
variance I submit the following conditions to be imposed so as not to cause in-
consistencies with the limitations upon other properties in the vicinity and zone
in which I am located.

continuously as a weekly newspaper in Edmonds, Snohomish
County, Washington, and it is now and during all of the said

SUBJECT: AGENDA FOR EDMONDS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING
FOR MARCH 29, 1978
The following are our comments on the subject agenda:
V-15-78, KEN HOVDE We recommend denial because the
access, as proposed, is very steep +17 percent slope
and is only wide enough for one way traffic. The
existing driveway access functions poorly. When
exiting, a right turn can not be negotiated without
crossing into th apposing lane.of traffic on Olympic
View Drive. The�pplicant should apply for a variance
to exceed the 14 percent slope as required by Code.
V-17-78, WILLIAM MICHAELSON - No comment.
V-19-78, WALTER C. SELLERS - We recommend denial because
the access, as proposed'
ropose is very steep - +23 percent
slope and is only wide enough for one way traffic.
Existing retaining walls and landscaping restrict future
widening,. The applicant should apply fora variance to
exceed the 14 percent slope as required by Code.
