Director of Public Works SUBJECT: AGENDA FOR EDMONDS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING FOR MARCH 29, 1978 The following are our comments on the subject agenda: V-15-78, KEN HOVDE We recommend denial because the access, as proposed, is very steep +17 percent slope and is only wide enough for one way traffic. The existing driveway access functions poorly. When exiting, a right turn can not be negotiated without crossing into th apposing lane.of traffic on Olympic View Drive. The�pplicant should apply for a variance to exceed the 14 percent slope as required by Code. V-17-78, WILLIAM MICHAELSON - No comment. V-19-78, WALTER C. SELLERS - We recommend denial because the access, as proposed' ropose is very steep - +23 percent slope and is only wide enough for one way traffic. Existing retaining walls and landscaping restrict future widening,. The applicant should apply fora variance to exceed the 14 percent slope as required by Code.
