I just completed a review of your request for address changes on
the property known as the Edmonds Shopping Center (Safeway
complex) . I sent letters to the property owners af f ected by the
changes and reviewed the request with my staf f . Here are the
results of my investigation.
1. Both properties that would be af f ected by the requested
address changes, Thai Park Restaurant and Goldies, f elt the
change would be very expensive. All letter heads, phone ads,
billing address, etc., would have to be changed. They
requested I not change the address.
2. The addresses, as they are, have been in use for some time
and to my knowledge have not caused any problems to date.
3. Staff informs me it was very unusual to issue address for
each tenant as was done in your case. Strip malls usually go
through many changes as tenants move in and out. Typically, we
address the site and ask the owner to assign suite numbers.
Any changes made now to correct the inconsistencies now
existent, may be undone by the next tenant remodel.
After considering the information above ' I have decided to deny
your request for address changes at your site. If you have any
