This is to reauest an adjustment to the water bill at 19225 88th
Avemue West, Edmonds, -Washington 98020 (Account 308-01425).
This home,which we rent out,was experiencing water usage of 2000
to 3000 cubic feet in mid 1978. Billing -periods ending 11 September
and 11 November reflected usages of 44 to 4600 cubic feet. We were
astounded to see 9200 cubic feet of usage on our bill for period
ending 8 March and asked your department to investigate on 27 March.
Your departrwnt confirmed evidence of a leak ard I repaired it 31
March 1979. The water uaage since (period ending 9 Mair 1979) shows
a near normal 2600 cubic feet.
I feel that an adjustment of approximtely $40.00 is in order as
your meter readers failed to report any irregularities during the
period in q ' uestion even though the meter was creaping and the
puddle evidencing a leak was in view. This my first occasion for
such a request although I have several rentals in your serving area.
