The residents are primarily using the addresses as per USPS database. 19616 80t' Av W for A — D 19620 801h Av W for E — M The issue was raised by the person who purchased unit B. The county recorded the address as 19620 per the plat description. Her insurance company is balking at insuring the property, as the address does not exist in their database (which is verified through the USPS database). Jim ----- Original Message ----- From: Sutliff, James A - Edmonds, WA Sent: Thursday, May 12, 2005 3:59 PM To: Russell, David A - Seattle, WA Subject: FW: Address Veriflication Dave, No easy resolution. Marie Harrison from the City of Edmonds is going to work with the county toward a solution. The county plat map shows the north building as 19616 (the 4 unit building A thru D). The plat description identifies the 9 unit building as 19616 (E thru M), unfortunately, this is the south building. Per addressing standards, the north building should be 19616 and the south building 19620. No numbers are *posted on either building, although the north side of the entrance is posted as 19616, the south side of the entrance is 19620, which matches the USPS database. Jim ----- Original Message ----- From: Sutliff, James A - Edmonds, WA Sent: Thursday, May 12, 2005 2:21 PM To: 'Harrison@ci.edmonds.wa.us' Cc: Russell, David A - Seattle, WA Subject: Address Verification Marie, 5/16/2005 FW: Address Verification Page 2 of 2 41 1 left you a voice mail earlier today on this issue. A customer inquiry indicates that the Postal Service address of the condominium she purchased is incorrect. The address the Postal Service has on record does not match the address recorded by Snohomish County when she purchased the property. Postal Service records show 2 addresses: 19616 80t' Av W, units A — D 1962080 th Av W, units E — M She purchased unit B, which the county recorded as 19620 80th Av W, and Postal Service records show as 19616 80th Av W. Do city records show an address of 19616 80th AV W? If 19616 is in your records; that is her address. If city records only show 19620 80th Av W, we will change our records accordingly. HAHN DIRECTOR 6 1-5-b 0 The current practice in establishing fees in the City is not a policy to collect the actual costs for each individual development, but one of establishing a fee structure in which, on the average, the costs over a given year will be collected. At the present time, there are no discussions to change the fee structure. I will bring your -concern and observation regarding the fee structure to the attention of the powers -to -be. Your request, however, must be reviewed under existing policy and is, therefore, denied. Sincerely, ROBERT J. ALBERTS, P.E. The reference to drainage fee charges for my project was not directed at implication of an error in computing my,fee, but rather to the general basis of how fees are determined. I realize that on -site inspeotion fees are currently $30.00 each for each unit and that this is what I was charged. My position is one of objection to this fee policy, as I feel a flat fee for any project review, rather than a per -unit fee, would be a more equitable charge. As my previous letter stated, I thought it should take the same amount of time to review and inspect a Project with many units as it would a smaller project. For this reason, I have requested a reexamination of my $420.00 drainage review fee specifically, and of the policy for fees, in general. Thank you for Your continued consideration of this matter.
