I have reviewed your account and will allow a credit for the billing period between
November 10, 1999 through January 14, 1999 in accordance with our City policy. The
policy states that the customer will be billed at the retail rate based upon the average water
consumption for the same period during the previous year. In addition, the excess water
lost from the leak will be billed to cust omer at the City's wholesale rate with a 15%
surcharge added for administrative cost. Only one leak credit will be granted in any three-
year period.
Should you have any additional questions after you receive your new billing, please

I am enclosing a copy of my water bill from November to January.
Please note the increased water usage of $152.97. This letter is
to document reasons for the increase and request an adjustment.
We were on vacation in December when Edmonds had the cold temps.
We returned on December 27 to f ind a pipe had burst and water
apparently had been leaking for two weeks. Consequently our house
had $45,000 damage and still is under construction!
I have spoken to the City billing department and they suggested I
contact you. I would greatly appreciate any adjustment you can

I herein request your consideration for a City of Edmonds business
license to render childcare in my home at 19821.80th Avenue West
Edmonds.
I am licensed through the State of Washingto.n Soc.ial & Health.
Services to care for five full-time children . , . _. and up- to
eight children if three are there no longer than three hours and
I have,a compe.tent assistant. Age groups range from infancy to
twelve years old. i I would render care evenings, starting at
approximately.5:15. p.m.', and on weekends with varying hours.
Currently my..intentions are to do more "drop -in" care than
filll-time.
My home is a three -bedroom rambler, which rooms the ch ildren would
have access to; the attached garage is off-limits. My back yard
i.s,co.mpietely fenced with a patio, sand -box and play -house. I
would provide a variety of activities and play equipment suitable
for ind.00r's and outdoors with supervision.
Nutritious meals,and/or
snacks would be provided -when appropriate. I have sufficient
sleeping areas for bedtime and/'or naps. I maintain my.home in a
clean and sanitary condition with available laundry facilities.
To prevent fire hazard, I have purchased and placed in my hom*e
a-5 lb. ABC fire extinguisher and a smoke alarm. Other safety
.measures have been taken, i.ncluding my taking a CPR and first-
-aid course.
In addition, I have an 11-1/2 year old daughter who*is competent
and able and would assist me a great deal in entertaining and
caring for the children.
