IITZAto you as a last resorts I live at the corner of 88th Ave.
W. and 200th S.W. I have lived -,here now for five years. Since
moving ing I have completely cleaned up the corner terraced the
yard, leveled it into two distinct levels by buildIng two retain-
ing walls reaching the entire length of the yard, put in rockery
across the front where necessary and had the lot serveyed. At
my own expense, I had gravel brought in from EBY Sand and Gravel
Co. to level off the frontoon the city right of wqy,to improve
the appearance. With some luck and a little more capital, I hope
to have the entire front in grass before this year ends.
However, I have a problem.,I can't seem to get action on from
the street department although I have tried, As you know, sewers
were installed in this area last fall and you know the mess they
always leave. The mess left from there installation, plus a bank
and rough ground on the 900th side of the corner make it nearly
impossible to do much with it in its present condition. For the
five years I have lived here I have kept the brush, Aldter growth
cut down as much as possible, however, I feel I am gaining nothing.
When this brush etet get to high it creates a traffic hazardq be-
cause the view north on 200th is blocked,
If I can get this little bit of grading done, I am willing to
seedt at my expense$ and to take care of this property. Besides
improving the looks at this corner it will also remove one more
traffItchahardr,' I would have this done at my own expense, how-
ever, I do not make enough as a Mail Carrier to have work done on
the city's property. When the street inspector came out to
survey my request'several months ago, he said that they wouldn't
do this kind of work normally because people generally didn't keep
it up anyway. I b4lieve a check of my neighbors will convince you
that I do try.tokeep the appearance of my home presentable at all
times.

NOTE No. 1—The owners of the property may obtaln a permit to construct sewer inside property line. A licensed Side Sewer Contractor must
be employed to construct side sewer in street area. Do not cover any portion of sewer before it has been inspected.
