Subject: Water Leak Credit Account #604240
Dear Mr. Snyder:
I have reviewed your account and will allow a credit for the billing period between
August 6, 1998 through September 4, 1998 in accordance with our City policy. The policy
states that the customer will be billed at the retail rate based upon the average water
consumption for the same period during the previous year. In addition, the excess water
lost from the leak will be billed to customer at the City's wholesale rate with a 15%
surcharge added for administrative cost. Only one leak credit will be granted in any three-
year period.
Should you have any additional questions after you receive your new billing, please
contact Ilene Larson, Utility Billing Clerk, at 771-0241.

City of Edmonds Water Department
P.O. Box 2008
Edmonds WA 98020-2008
Dear Mr. Wade:
We just noticed our water bill for the month of August and noted a major increase in
our bill. After discussing the bill with your department, we were advised to write you
a letter of explanation and request a reconsideration.
Attached is a copy of the water bill for our Perrinville carrier Station (7601 Olympic
View Drive). As you can see, the consumption is 485 cubic feet (100). This is a 337
cubit foot (100) increase over our previous month's usage. This increase was
caused by an improper setting on our automatic sprinkler system and vehicular
vandalism damaging several sprinkler heads, causing additional leakage. Both of
these problems were discovered on September 1, 1998, when we changed our lawn
maintenance.
We understand that there can be no relief on our water usage, however, we believe
that we should receive relief from the Sewer System surcharge. The additional
water usage was on our lawn and not in the plumbing system and therefore did not
add water to the sewage system.
We are requesting a relief of $835.76 (337 cubic feet [100] x $2.48) on item 3 of our
August 1998 water bill for Perrinville Carrier Station, account number 6-04240.
Thank you for consideration of this request.
Sincerely,
Thomas M. S4nyycol r

Dear Resident:
On February 17, 1981, the Edmonds City Council passed Resolution 488 for
construction, reconstruction, and repair of deteriorated sidewalks. A letter
dated March 16, 1981 was sent to residents that were required to repair the
sidewalk abutting their property. A certified letter was also sent dated June
15, 1982. The improvements of sidewalks in need of repair at the expense of
the abutting property owner is provided by City Ordinance, Chapter 7.20 and
Revised Code of Washington, Chapter 35.69.
The areas needing repair have been marked in paint on the sidewalk
adjoining your property. Reconstruction permits must be obtained from the
Building Department located at 250-5th Ave. N. within thirty (30) days upon
receipt of this final notice. The permit fee for the sidewalk repair has been
waived by the City of Edmonds. In the event you have not obtained the
reconstruction permit within thirty (30) days, the City forces will commence
with the reconstruction of the sidewalk, and the City will bill the abutting
property owner.
This action is in response to many citizen requests and pedestrian falling
accidents which have been increasing in recent years as a result of sidewalk
deterioration and increased pedestrian traffic.
If you have any questions regarding this final notice, please call Bill

Dear Sir:
In May of 1979, 1 was contacted by a disabled resident of
Edmonds requesting that I look into the mobility problems
confronting citizens using wheelchairs created by the
absence of curb -cuts (ramps) in the block that contains the
Edmonds Post Office.
This matter was called to the attention of your office on the
16th of May. An on site investigation recently undertaken
reveals that the situation still exists. Are there plans in
the offing to render curb -cuts in this block?
Sincerely,
