I have reviewed your account and will allow a credit from December 11, 1995 through
February 13, 1996 in accordance with our City policy. The policy states that the customer
will be billed at the retail rate based upon the average water consumption for the same
period during the previous year. In addition, the excess water lost from the leak will be
billed to customer at the City's wholesale rate with a 15% surcharge added for
administrative cost. Only one leak credit will be granted in any three year period.

Your septic tank has limitations! It was designed and installed to care for an average -size family. Over-
loading the septic tank or disturbance of the drain -field may seriously impair satisfa:ctory operation. Points to
remember:
1. Have your tank checked periodically to see if pumping is necessary (2y2-3 years).
2. Do not channel ground water, surface water, footing drains or downspouts into the tank or drainfield.
3. Do not excavate, fill, place a structure, driveway or.patio in, on, or over the drainfield.
4. Limit toilet fixture. disposal to sanitary wastes and toilet tissue.
5. Detergents and bleaches used in normal household quantities will not liarm the action of tile septic tank and
disposal field.

On July 10, 1998 1 was notified that there was a possible water leak at my
residence 20101 Maplewood Dr. I investigated and discovered that indeed
there was a leak in my system, I dug up the driveway which covers my
water line and fixed the leak the very same day I was notified of the
problem. I understand that it is not your departments responsibility to repair
or maintain water line running from the meter to the residence . At this time
I'm looking into having my water line replaced. If there is the possibility of
getting relief of any kind to help with my most resent water bill I would
appreciate it. I have inclosed copies of my water bill over the last 4 months
for comparison.
