I have reviewed your account and will allow a credit to your account in accordance with
our City policy. The policy states that the customer will be billed at the retail rate based
upon the average water consumption for the same period during the previous year. In
addition, the excess water lost from the leak will be- billed to customer at the City's
wholesale rate with a 15% surcharge added for administrative cost. Only one leak credit
will be granted in any three year period.

During the last billing period my water line ruptured, when
we became aware of the problem we repaired the line quickly.
We received our water bill and it is $537.53, would you
consider * adjusting the bill? We were not aware of the
leak until your meter reader told us we were using an extremely
large amount of water, there was not standing water on
the property, and again, we repaired it as quickly as
possible.
