The Edmonds Engineering Division has recently inspected
88th Place West. We observed that the neighborhood side-
walk system is over 50% developed. The owners of the property
on the west side of 88th Place West will be required to
construct and dedicate curbs, gutters and sidewalks adjacent
to their property should it be developed. We feel that the
requirements placed on your property in conjunction with your
subdivision are still valid. Completion of sidewalks, gutters
and street restoration adjacent to your property will be
required prior to release of your Performance Bond.

A review of the subject file and a site insr)ection reveals
that certain subdivision requirements have not been met.
Prior to releasing any remaining performance monies the
following items must be completed:
1. Curbs and Cutters
2. Paving
3. Sidewalks
Each of these items must be inspected and approved by the
Engineering Division before final approval can be given.

This'is,�o request a re'v*iew of the requirement for 140 feet of sidewalk
and curbing on the subdivision on 88th Pl. W.
Th6-property to the north of the subdivision, owned by Mr. Ralph Olson,
has a garage and fence that are in direct line of any extension of the
sidewalk and curb to Main street. 88th Pl. W. in this particular area
is unimproved, ie., it is not paved. There are no sidewalks on the west
side of 88th Pl., from the corner of Main street south for approximately
300 feet. The property to the west of 88th Pl. is undeveloped. If and/or
when this is developed, the developer will surely have to put in side-
walks and curbs, and the remainder of 88th Pl., north to Main St. will
probably be paved.
I would like to request a delay on the 140 feet of sidewalk and curb,
until such time as these other improvements are made.
I would appreciate your thoughts on this subject, and the possibility
of delaying the requirement for the sidewalk and curb.
