Dear Ms. Deiotte:
Thank youfor your recent comments regarding water pressure in your home. This
is a concern of ours and we strive to provide the highest quality of water to your
home.
City crews responded to your request on October 5, 1995 to check the pressure.
The pressure was 72 PSI's at our nearest hydrant. Pressure at your front hose
bib was 69 PSI's. We then pulled the meter to ensure there was no obstruction in
the line. We also flowed the water which indicated no problem with the volume.
The crew member indicated that you might possibly have galvanized pipes in your
home which will corrode over time and restrict the flow therefore, pressure loss is
immediate. The only way to correct this is replacement of your pipes.
For your information, 75 PSI's is excellent pressure and the City is providing you
with the best that can be obtained.
