Meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M.,by W. J. Slabaugh,.Puilding OfAcial.
First order of business was the nomination of:'a chairman since Dan Tuson was
no longer a member of the board.
Motion by Finnigan and seconded by Skinner that Sam Ewing ser4as chairman.,
Motion carried.

introduced Bruce Cramer, the applicant, and George Addicott who attended the
meeting with Cramer.
At this time Chairman Ewing asked that the applicant make his request tolthe
board members.
Cramer felt that since, thisapartmedt building was of 'the Townhouse type and
each set of stairs served only.one family that it should be considered more
as an 'IT" occupancy. An 'IT" occupancy is a single family dwelling 'and does
Pot need to have this fire protection although it is asked for'in a single
family dwelling by the department and the contractors comply with this request.
it was' pointed out that there were 20 units concerned with 20 hot water heaters.

Tt,,Was asked that the City Approved Plans be presented andthe Building Official
biought these to the conference room. The drawing showing'the stair section
was shown and found to have been marked with the fire protection but just.failed
t&:be installed by the dry wall contractor.
Different ways were discussed in order that this protection might'�be.provided
without entirely removing the hot water heaters.
