'WEST ABUTTING YOUR RESIDENCE
On February 7, 1978, the City Council decided to proceed
with the right-of-way vacation without requiring the payment
by the abutting property owners.of the costs encountered by
the City. The City is proceeding to record this action in
the County.. You will, therefore, be able to adjust your
property boundaries to include an additional five feet per
the attached map in approximately 30-days.

SUBJECT: VACATION OF SURPLUS R.IGHT-OF-WAY ON 80TH
AVENUE WEST ABUTTING YOUR RESIDENCE
The City Council has agreed to vacate surplus street
right-of-way adjoining your residence. This right-of-way
would be vacated subject to the abutting owners paying the
appraisal and recording fees. It has,been determined that
the fee for each owner is $25.
Upon submittal of the fee to the City of Edmonds, Public
Works Department,'the City will file an Ordinance with the
Auditor in Snohomish,County. The title companies will then
pick-up this information.from the records. You may then wish
to contact the title company for further arrangements to
clarify any fee title interest you may have in the vacated.
right-of-way. In order to complete this action at the earliest
possible time, it ' is requested that you remit the fee to the
City.of Edmonds by December 16, 1977.

Reference your letter dated November 30, 1977, Subject: Vncation Of Surplus
Right— Of - Way On 80th Avenue West Abutting Ydur Residence.
I do not intend to pay the $25 aporaisal and. recording fee, title insurance
fee or taxes on property that I do not own or want.
The City of Edronds demanded and received a Quick Claim Deed for the pronerty
in question before ap roval would be granted for sub -dividing the origonal property
at 21012 80th Avenue West, Edmonds,Washington.
The City of Edmonds now owns the surplus right - of - way on 80th Avenue
West abutting my residence and can �eep it as I have no desire or need for it.
