RE: Unsafe Parkin Condition at 21105-84 th Avenue West
Dear Occupant:
GARY HAAKENSON
MAYOR
The City of Edmonds has been made aware of an unsafe parking practice occurring in your
area — specifically, parking on the narrow drive approaching the parking stalls afthe duplexes.
Such parking practices are hazardous when the access of fire and emergency vehicles is
impaired. The Fire Department concurs with this evaluation. It is also unsafe for residents to
enter into traffic when vehicles are parked next to their driveways, blocking lines of sight.
Furthermore, there can be potential pedestrian safety issues created by such parking.
The City desires that the owners and residents self -regulate this parking situation. In order to
reduce the hazard and enhance public safety, the City of Edmonds requests that you and your
guests not park on the approach drive.
This notification is being sent out as a fiiendly reminder to all residents -and owners of the
subject buildings. Your cooperation in bringing this parking and safety issue into compliance is
appreciated.
Please feel free to call me with any questions at 425-771-0220, Ext. 1328.

MEMO TO: Hal Reeves
Building Official
FROM: Lee Willeiksen
Water Division
Cross Connection Inspector
SUBJECT: 21103-05-07 - 84TH AVE. W. - PERMIT TO
SPRINKLER SYSTEM
This memo is to inform your department an inspection was
made at Mr. Stewert's new construction site on September
9, 1983. The installation of the backflow devices at all
three buildings are approved with one exception.
The box containing the backflow device also contains an
electrically operated water, valve. The close -proximity
does not allow easy access for maintenance or testing
of the backflow device.
After a telephone conversation with State Electrical
Inspector, Gene Fletcher, he indicated that the electri-
cally operated valves would have to be moved to a
separate box.per NEC 110-2.
If you have any questions involving this matter, please
contact me.
