their property� A licensed side sewer contractor must be em.ployed to
construct side sewers in the public right-�of-way.
b. The side sewer contractor assumes. full reponsibility for each
E-4 installation for one year.
C. Commercial establishment requires a minimum of a six inch (6")
side sewer line.
0 d. Side sewers may not be installed closer than thirty inches (30")
'to any structure.

e. Side sewer lines must 0 be laid at a rn.inimum grade of 2% (1.15
0 and maximum grade of 100% (45 ).
EA f. No turn in side s8wer greater than 450 (i/8 bend) is 0 allowed
between cleanout. All 90 turns must be constructed of a 45 (1/8
bend) and wye with removable cap..
g. No down spouts, footing drains or floor drains can be connected
to side sewer system.
h. Pea gravel is required for bedding when installing sewer lines
through other than granular soil.
i. Cleanouts are required at 30"-60" from each plumbing exit line
and at minimum intervals of 100' along sewer line run.
j. Trenches within City riqht-of-way must be restored to original
conditions. Contractors shall be responsible for right-of-way failure
due to poor compaction of fill.
k. Side sewer must be left uncovered until inspected and approved
by the City

not apply when the DPW determines that the proposed permit and/
or activity:
(b) Will not alter the drainage patterns, increase the peak
discharge or surface or subsurface or cause any other
adverse effects in the drainage area.
Section 6 - 12.17.050 (1)(c) of Ordinance No. 1924
states: Retention/detention facilities must be provided in order
to handle all surface water in excess of the peak discharge that
was present prior to the development.
The proposed facility will not increase additional surface water,
will not alter existing drainage patterns nor will not increase
the peak discharge in the drainage area. Therefore, no detention
facilities should be required as per Ordinance No. 1924. But
in order to reduce peak flow rate into the existing 12" storm
sewer a detention system has been designed to accomodate the excess
flow over 0.2CFS / acre, which was assumed to be an allowable rate

RELOCATION.
Jack in the Box has an existing freestanding sign that identifies their business at the comer of 212'h
St. SW and Highway 99. The improvements to Highway 99 are of a magnitude that the existing
sign will need to be relocated.
All the changes proposed are minor in nature and are necessitated by the improvements to
Highway 99. As such, all the changes are determined to be consistant with the overall character of
the facility and are Ad imnistratively Approved.

Section of City Code. Street to be kept clean at all times. A 24 - hour notice is required for inspection by Engineering. Call

side sewer line.
d. Side sewers may not be installed closer than thirty inches (30")
to any structure. 0
e. Side sewer lines must be laid at a minimum grade of 2% (1.15
and maximum grade of 100% (450). 0
f. No turn in side s8wer greater than 45 (1/81bend) is 0 allowed
between cleanout. All 90 turns must be constructed of a 45 (1/8
bend) and wye with removable cap.
g. No down spouts, footing drains or floor drains can be connected
to side sewer system.
h. Pea gravel is required for bedding when installing sewer lines
through other than granular soil.
i. Cleanouts are required at 30"-60" from * each plumbing exit line
and at minimum intervals of 1001 along sewer 'line run.
j. Trenches within City right-of-way must be restored to original
conditions. Contractors shall be responsible for right-of-way failure
due to poor compaction of fill.
k. Side sewer must be left uncovered until inspected and approved
by the City.
