I received your letter advisinS me that the matter concerning my storm
sever easment would be referred to the city attorney for legal action
unless immediate response is received.
On June 1, 1978 Mr. Arden and David DeLap, my contractorst appeared at
the city -engineer's office tO clear this matter up. At that time, Mr. Bill
Nims "-old them that the sewer runs up our alley on our own propertyo and
that the requirement for the storm easement was an error on tte part of
the city of Edmonds* At that time, Mr. Nims told Mr. DeLap that he would
clear this matter up with the city engineer or other a-propriate personnel.
P
Apparently this has not yet been done*
Your letter threatening legal.act,on then comes in considerable surpriseg

Description of the Kuzel Medical Clinic project.:
This was a request for a permit to Replace the old siding on the building with stucco and to improve the appearance of
the building; The original intent for existing building was to modify ONLY the exterior appearance. There was no work
on the interior of the building or the interior apartment adjacent to the building This application as revised remains a J
request to simply replace the old siding with stucco and make minor modifications to improve the buildings appearance A
with the additional work required by building official. Below.
Building 0 fficial has substantially expanded the owners original scope of work to include the following; a total re-
design of existing parapet as previously permitted from the new top of the parapet wall to the footings of the new posts
with, details of. each section where parapet changes height. To redesign the eiisting roof drainage system. Building
official - has required wind load calculations & accordingly -to re -design and specify the parapet connection to the
exterior wall and re -design the parapet bracing. To re -design and specify the one hour assemblies, and to revise the roof.
plan showing the new roof drainage system that building official has required.
The Exterior apartment deck repair & improvements originally planned and all other improvements originally planned
have been deleted from the scope.
