This letter is in response to the February 111h letter received from Gina Janicek, Associate
Planner for the City of Edmonds. I
Land Use: Currently the Norwegian Wood Apartments Resident Manager has an
extremely small office the on the 80th street side of the building. This office consists of only
a very small stand-up counter with absolutely no space for any desk. It would continue to
operate as it has in the past: handling all prospective tenants, current tenants and vendors.
The remodel unit would function as a support office for all necessary accounting and
maintenance in connection with operation of the apartments. There will be two desks: one
for the accounting person and one for the maintenance supervisor. Other office furnishings
would include a copier, internet connection, phones & rile cabinets. There would be no
signage on the remodel unit or any outside appearance of office use. The handicap ramp
would be the only change to the exterior of the building. It would never be rented out as
office space to others.
