CRITICAL AREAS CHECKLIST
The Critical Areas Checklist contained on this form is
to be filled out by any person preparing a
Development Permit Application for the City of
Edmonds prior to his/her submittal of a development
permit to the City.
The purpose of the Checklist is to enable City staff ' to
determine whether any potential Critical Areas are, or
may be, present on the subject property. The
information needed to complete the Checklist should
be easily available from observations of the site or
data available at City Hall (Critical Areas inventories,
maps, or soil surveys).
An applicant, or his/her representative, must fill out
the checklist, sign and date. it, and submit it to the
City. The City will review the checklist, make a
precursory site visit, and make a determination of the
subsequent steps necessary to complete a development
permit application.

Detention Requirements
The added impervious surfaces are 5,562 sq ft. The RDFAC analysis was run for a 24"
CMP pipe. The analysis indicates a total storage capacity of 238 cu ft.
Checking Detention Capacit
A section of 24" pipe 70' in length will provide 219.911 cu ft of storage. Additional
storage will be provided by a Type 1 -L catch basin with restrictor with a live storage
depth of 2.35' this contains. Another Type 1-L catch basin at the opposite end of the
detention pipe has a live depth of 2'. The storage of the entire 24" CMP detention

Storm runoff from the subject project discharges from the level spreader into the gutter
along the east side of 92"d Place W. Flows proceed northerly in the gutter a short

From this catch basin flows empty into a large underground system in the center of
Bowdoin Way, flows continue in an easterly direction to the underground system in the
unopened riVt of way of 11' Ave S. Flows continue northerly in this underground
