On September 20, 1984, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Bob Bentler and I were called out to investigate a plugged sewer at 21327-92nd Pl. W. Upon arrival at the above location, we checked the water cover at the end of the cul-de-sac to see if we were getting any backup in our 8" sanitary trunk line, but there was no trace of backup. We checked the manhole in the southwest corner of 21316- 92nd Pl. W. and there was no evidence of backup there. We proceeded to make contact with the homeowner and inform her of what we had found. She told us she had Roto-Rooter drill 130' from her toilet in the back of the house. We measured out and determined that it was at the property line and so we told her that it would be their responsibility to dig up at the property line and verify that our line is plugged or if it was theirs. On September 24, 1984, we were called out again and she said that she had Roto-Rooter out again over the weekend but he could not get through. She wanted to know what she should do. We told her we would get measurements for her so we could pinpoint where her sewer comes out to our line. We staked at the approximate area and told her to dig up and verify that it was our line that was plugged. She said she would do this and we left. On Tuesday, September 25, we were called again and we again explained the same procedure and told her specifically to dig up the line and tell us if it was her problem or ours. She then indicated that she was going to have a contractor come out and put in a whole new line. We left and did not get another call until September 27 at 5:00 p.m. Everett Akau responded to this call as the homeowner's new line was connected at the property, line but the line was still backed up. Everett called me and we proceeded to clear the line temporarily with Unit #24 for the night until we could repair the line the next morning. - zl_ 1 9 izz - RONNY,K.
