Dear Mr. Belt:
I have reviewed your account and will allow a credit in accordance with our City policy.
The policy states that the customer will be billed at the retail rate based upon the average
water consumption for the same period during the previous year. In addition, the excess
water lost from the leak will be billed to customer at the City's wholesale rate with a 15%
surcharge added for administrative cost. Only one leak credit will be granted in any three
year period.
Should you have any additional questions after you receive your new billing, please
contact Ilene Larson, Utility Billing Clerk, at 771-0241.
Sincerely,
et"v L'a

Critical Areas Checklist
The Critical Areas Checklist contained on
this form is to be filled out by any person
preparing a Development Permit
Application for the City of Edmonds prior
to his/her submittal of a development
permit to the City.
The purpose of the Checklist is to enable
City staff to determine whether any
potential Critical Areas are or may be
present on the subject property. The
information needed to complete the
Checklist should be easily available from
observations of the site or data available at
City Hall (Critical Areas inventories, maps,
or soil surveys).
An applicant, or his/her representative,
must fill out the checklist, sign and date it,
and submit it to the City. The City will .
review the checklist, make a precursory site
visit, and make a determination of the
subsequent steps necessary to complete a
development permit application.
With a signed copy of this form, the
applicant should also submit a vicinity map
or plot plan for individual lots of the parcel
with enough detail that City staff can find
and identify the subject parcel(s). In
addition, the applicant shall include
other pertinent information (e.g. site
plan, topography map, etc.) or studies in
conjunction with this Checklist to assist
staff in completing their preliminary
assessment of the site.
I have completed the attached Critical Area Checklist and attest that the answers provided are
factual, to the best of my knowledge (fill out the appropriate column below).

At my request, the City Council has agreed to construct a sewer line from
Alan BMW, north to Aurora Toyota, at no cost to you or Toyota.
In addition, the City has agreed to waive 50% of the standards sewer connec-
tion charges. Your charge would have been $4,000 and Toyota's $6,500. If
you or any subsequent owner of your property were to connect to the sewer
line, the charge will be $2,000.
We appreciate your cooperation in this matter of annexation and the City
appreciates the new sales and property tax revenues that this annexation
will generate.
The annexation should be official in about 45 days. Please call me if you
have any questions.
Sincerely,
CITY OF EDMONDS

Dear Tom:
LARRY S. NAUGHTEN
MAYOR
PETER E. HAHN
DIRECTOR
Visual inspection of the storm drains adjacent to your place of
business has indicated that significant amounts of pollution, primarily
oil and diesel fuel, are entering the storm conveyance system that is
tributory to Halls Creek and Lake Ballinger.
This is in violation of City, State, and Federal ordinances and laws.
We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss measures designed to
correct the problem. We would prefer to handle such problems on a
local level with your voluntary cooperation.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me
at my office. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
