In the end, they did not comply with our requests for required preparation, and elected to demolish the house without our training involvement. I would now suggest billing them for the demolition permit. W. The Fire Department has redlined and approved the modifications to plans: 1. Maintain fire hydrant for fire protection water supply during demolition phase of project. 2. Fire Department vehicle access nor fire lane striping is required on property. All portions of exterior walls of the first story of the buildings are located less than 150' from fire apparatus access as measured by an approved route around the exterior of the building or facility from street approach. 3. Fire -flow calculations indicate that fire protection needs are met by existing hydrants. Nc additional hydrants will be required for fire protection service. See attached fireflow calculations. However, provide two existing hydrant(s) with the required one -quarter turn 4" Storz adapter iaw COE hydrant detail. Site* Plan 4. Provide gated access through fences for egress to public way. Sheet AO. 1 5. Automatic fire sprinkler, fire connection and fire alarms permits are not required if systems will not be installed in buildings. These systems are not required for this project. 6. Provide a fire and life safety plan which describes the location, function and use of all fire - protection equipment and appliances accessible to tenants, single -station smoke detectors and portable fire extinguishers.
