NOTE No. 1—The owners of the property may obtain a permit to construct sewer inside property line. A licensed Side Sewer Contractor must be employed to construct
side sewer in street area. Do not cover any portion of sewer before It has been inspected.
NOTE No. 2—All work performed in city right-of-way requires an Invasion of Right -of -Way Permlt obtainable from the City Engineer's office.
NOTE No. 3--Obtaln full information regarding Ordinance 11.16.030 and Regulations governing side sewers when you get permit.
NOTE No. 4—Top of side sewer must have at least 30 inches coverage at property line and 12 inches inside property line; minimum grade of 2%. No bends in grade
sharper than % will be permitted.
NOTE No. 5--Trenches in street must be water settled and surface of street restored to original condition. Contractors shall be responsible for failure due to improper
work which may develop within one year of completion.
NOTE No. 6—It is unlawful to alter or do any other work than is provided for in the permit, or to do any work on the main sewer or its appurtenanew except to in-
sert the pipe into the wye.

Dear Ms. Lutz:
April 4, 1977
Following a petition by a majority of the residents in your neigh-
borhood, the City Council of Edmonds accepted ' the annexation in-
corporating your property, lo ' cated at 21730 95th Avenue West,
within the City limits. Officially, the annexation became effective
November 6, 1976. The City has now transferred accounts from the
Alderwood Water District to the Edmonds water system. Billing has
been converted.to the Edmonds water rate and utility fee.
The major motivation for annexing to the City was to obtain avail-
ability for sewer hookups. Our -records indicate that your property
abuts an existing sewer main and you are, therefore, required to*
make connection. City Ordinance normally requires connection within
60 days. However, on annexation we allow for inclement weather con-
ditions and additional time for the home owners to make necessary
arrangements. We are establishing a date of July 1, 1977, as the
time'in which you must have your residence connected to sewers.
Requirements for obtaining a Side -Sewer Permit are as follows:
1. Payment of connection fee. Please bring the legal
de ' scription of your property to the Public Works De-
partment prior to your request for a Permit so that
the connection fee can be computed.
2. Payment of $35 Permit fee.
3. Copies of all recorded easements (where applicable).
4. A plot -plan drawing of the proposed connection.
Side -Sewer Permits may be obtained at the Public Works Department,
200 Dayton Street, Edmonds, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and
5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

desire.
