Upon the approval of the City Engineer of the sewer
main In -the vicinity of your residence, it is now permissible
for some property owners to bef,
,in conneciton of their houses.
Since your pmpe . rty was not located within L.I.D. 192, you will
be charged a sewer Connection Charge In lieu of an L.I.D. assess-
ment. If you will bring the legal description of your property
into the Lngineering Department. 505 Bell Street, your sewer
connection charge can be calculated; this must be done prior to
obtaining a side sewer permit. Each owner should then secure
the services of a city -licensed side sewer contractor and obtain
a side sewer permit. Side sewer information and permits may be
obtained at the Public Works Department, 200 Dayton Street, tOle-
phone 775-2525, office hours are from 0 a.m. to 5 p.m.
By ordinance, residents adjacent to a sewer main are
required to connect within 60 days of the official notice. Notices
will be sent to aU properties in this area when the final assess-
ment roll, hearing has been completed on L.I.D. 192, which will
take place sometime in late spring. This advance notice ix sent
at the present time for the convenience of the home owner in the
event septic tank problem exist and to allow hook-ups over a
longer period of time. If you have any quesitons regarding this,

NOTE NO. 2—All work Performed in city right-of-way requires an Invasion of Right-of-WaY Permit obtainable from the City Engineer's office.
NOTE No. 3—Obtain full information regarding Ordinance 11.16.030 and Regulations governing side sewers when You get permit.
NOTE No. 4—Top of side sewer must have at least 30 inches coverage at property line and 12 inches inside
sharper than % will be permitted. Property line; minimum grade of 2%. No bends in grade
NOTE No. 5--Trenches in street must be water settled and surface of street restored to original condition. Contractors shall be responsible for failure due to Improper
work whichmay develop within one Year Of completion.
