Dear �roperty Owner:
. The.City of Edmonds is installing sanitary sewers in the area known as
"Chase Lake" under Local Improvement District No. 192. The bid is considerably
below the original estimate and we anticipate that the zone front foot cost will
be below $20 rather than $25.13 indicated on the assessment information previously
sent to you.
The construction will be accomplished by Utilities Development, Inc. (UDI).
Work will commence approximately November 19 and is scheduled for a 170 calendar
day construction period.
Access to the abutting properties will be maintained except there will be
short periods of time that access will be curtailed. The property owner will be
notified of such curtailment. Also, road closures will occur due to deep excava-
tion in the roadway. Any interruptions to water service due to some emerg I ency
will be rectified as quickly as possible.
Construction of this nature can be extremely hazardous, particularly to young
curious children. It would be greatly appreciated if you would caution your
children to stay clear of the construction work.
You will be contacted at a later date by the Inspector or Contractor to determine
the location of the lateral to be installed to the property line.
We sincerely regret the inconvenience that such construction will impose upon
the abutting property owners and residents. We solicit your cooperation and under-
standing in hopes that this work may be satisfactorily completed within the
construction period allowed the contractor.

SUBJECT: Advanced Sewer I Hook-up Notice for Properties Adjacent
to Local I!Mrovement District 192 - Sanitta-Sewere
Upon the approval of the City Engineer of the never
main in the vicinity of your residence, it is now pamf8sible
for sow property owners to begin connection of their houses.
Since your property was not located within L.I.D. 192, you will
be charged a sewer Connection Charge in lieu of an L.I.D. assess-
ment. If you will bring the legal description of your property
into the Engineering Department, 505 Bell Street* your sewer
connection charge can be calculated; this must be done prior to
obtaining a side sewer permit. Each owner should then secure
the servicos of a city -licensed side sewer contractor and obtain
a side sewer permit. Side sewer Information and permits may be
obtained at the Public Works Department, 200 Dayton Etreetq tele-
phone 775-2525, office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 P.M.
By ordinance, residents adjacent to a sower main we
required to connect within 60 days of the official notice. Notices
will be sent to all proportion in this area when the final assess-
ment roll hearing has been completed on L.I.D. 192, which"will
take place sometime In late spring. This advance notice Is sent
at the present time for the convenience of the how owner in the
event septic tank problems exist and to allow hook-ups over a
longer period of time. If you have any questions regarding this,
