SUBJECT: BASKETBALL HOOP
Dear Mr. Massey:

As you are aware, the basketball hoop that was broken by the City's street
sweeper was constructed on the public right-of-way. The City apologizes for this
occurring. However, it is the City policy that basketball hoops are not permitted
in City right-of-way since it encourages play in an area designated for moving
vehicles.
As I have told,you before, the City will reimburse you for a new basketball play
structure. However, you will need to fill out the claim for damages form that I
dropped by your home a few weeks ago.
