RE: Sign obstruction
Dear Mr. Grube:
Our records indicate that you are the owner of the property at 22925 76th Av. W. We have
received a complaint from Community Transit that the vegetation on your property is obstructing
the bus stop sign for buses going northbound on 76 1h Av. W. City of Edmonds staff has
investigated the matter and determined that this is indeed the case. This is in violation of City
code, from which the following is excerpted:
9.25.010 Violations.
A. It is unlawful for any person who either owns or has the right to possession, or both, of abutting real
property to permit the erection or maintenance of any sign, device, structure or vegetation in the following
circumstances herein set forth, and in the event of circumstances presently existing which by reason of
this section are now in violation of the Edmonds City Code, said person shall immediately remove the
same:
1. In such a manner that it obscures or conceals any traffic signal sign, signals, or other device as
to interfere with the full and effective use and visibility of the same to the motoring or pedestrian public;
In order to reduce the hazard and enhance public safety, the City of Edmonds directs you to
remove or cut back your shrubs to allow better visibility.
Please complete the modification and trimming by January 18, 2008. Your cooperation in
bringing your vegetation into compliance is appreciated. Please feel free to call me with any

* Three sets of construction drawings of proposed work are required with the permit application.
