Advanced Wireless Fire Alarm Monitoring
AES 7788F/7744F Series Subscribers are the ideal universal wireless communicators for any new or existing fire
alarm system. AES-IntelliNet networks are built using AES Corporation's patented mesh radio communications
technology. A Smart Subscriber at each alarm site acts as transmitter, receiver, and repeater of alarm signals
across the network. This creates a smart long-range radio network with multiple pathways between each alarm
site and the central receiver. Multiple pathways mean multiple redundancies assuring the most reliable delivery of
signals and compliance with rigorous industry standards. AES-IntelliNet networks self -adjust to network changes
and assure that signals automatically follow the shortest path available as the network of Subscribers grows.
Highest Long Term Stability and Profitability
AES-IntelliNet remains the most stable and profitable fire alarm communication technology available today in
the rapidly changing world of communications. AES private wireless networks never sunset compared to cellular
technology and traditional phone lines. AES-IntelliNet networks maximize RMR generated from network alarm
communication services because signals are delivered without the need for a costly operations center or cellular
service providers.
Y
UL864 Edition 9 Compliant 4TrirnaryStanclalone Communicators
In order to meet U.L approval and NFPA,cbmpliance, most fire alarm communicators require either a second
communication t.ech,nology.or a costly sevice plan included with sole path cellular alternatives. With AES-IntelliNet
alarm communic ations technology, each standalone AES 7788F/7744F Subscriber provides multiple RF pathways
across the r*esh radio network to the central monitoring station. To meet compliance standards, only 2 RF paths
are required...Please refer to the official NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code handbook, Chapter 26
(26.6.3..2 One -Way Private Radio Alarm Systems/Technology Reference Comparison Table A.26.6.1).
Multiple RF Path Reference Guide
AES provides a Multiple Path Validation Reference guide detailing how to easily validate
multiple RF paths at each AES 7788F/7744F Series Fire Subscriber. The guide also
provides a complete listing of the codes and standards to which AES-IntelliNet
products have been tested. To assist Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) with the
fire alarm inspection process, the guide and other valuable installer tools are available
for download from the company website. Visit our Fire Marshal Resources page at

Each Smart Subscriber acts as transmitter, receiver, and repeater creating a smart long-range radio network

scalable and assures that signals follow the shortest path available as the network expands.
Cost Free Supervised Operation
AES Subscribers offer fully -supervised operation that includes monitoring of primary and back-up operating power
as well as the radio connection to the AES-IntelliNet network. Each Subscriber performs "Check -ins" with the AES
central station receiver at least once every 24 hours which complies with the UL 864 standard for commercial fire
alarm communications. The supervision Check -in time can be set to as
often as needed for the application. Because the central station owns and Unlike cellular, there
operates the long-range wireless network, there is no cost for air time to is no cost for air
transmit supervisory signals. This is very different from cellular alternatives
which require an aggressive supervision Check -in schedule in order to time to transmit
comply with UL 864 listing. The high monthly cost for cellular service fees supervisory signals.
significantly reduce RMR profit.
Full Data Module Option - Ideal replacement for Phone Lines
AES Subscribers transmit consolidated alarm, trouble, and supervisory signals triggered by a FACP output relay.
Subscribers with an integrated AES-IntelliPro Fire full data module transmit full alarm zone and event codes
captured from a panel's digital communicator. Both options individually meet UL and NFPA 72 requirements.
AES Fire Subscribers with built-in full data module are the ideal drop -in full -function replacement for phone lines
for communicating signals from both new and existing UL commercial fire alarm systems. Replacing phone lines
with AES-IntelliNet maximizes RMR profit with significant bottom line impact, unlike with cellular technologies that
charge high monthly service fees.

alarm communications technology, each standalone AES 7788F/7744F Subscriber provides multiple RF pathways
across the 'Mesh. radio network to the central monitoring station. To meet compliance standards, only 2 RF paths
are req u ired..PI ease refer to the official NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code handbook, Chapter 26
(26.6.3.3.2 One -Way Private Radio Alarm Systems/Technology Reference Comparison Table A.26.6.1).

AES-IntelliNet" Private Wireless Mesh Network
AES Fire Subscriber

Each Smart Subscriber acts as transmitter, receiver, and repeater creating a smart long-range radio network
with multiple pathways and multiple redundancies. The AES-IntelliNet network is self -forming, self -healing, highly
scalable and assures that signals follow the shortest path available as the network expands.
Because the central station owns and Unlike cellular, there
operates the long-range wireless ' network, there is no cost for air time to is no cost for air
transmit supervisory signals.
Replacing phone lines
with AES-IntelfiNet maximizes RMR profit with significant bottom line impact, unlike with cellular technologies that
charge high monthly service fees.

Kevin,
The Knox Box is shipping today Fed Ex, it takes 7 to 10 business days. Will that be okay?
The lady I spoke w/at the Knox box place says they build to order that's why it has not shipped out yet.
So when the Knox box comes that is when my guy will come to repaint the handicapped spot and hang up the box. Will
that be okay. I know its past the week you gave me. But the other things will be done.
Also didn't you say I have 30 days from the initial inspection date to get my stuff done. They were here on 7/22/13. Looks
like they were scheduled to come on 4/1/13 in the box up above, but in the box that says Initial inspection date it says
7/22/13. But maybe I misunderstood, when we spoke the other day about the 30 days. Anyways It will all be done very
soon.
Thank you and have a wonderful day!!

Tricia,
It was nice to meet with you the other day at Armadillo Storage. A few issues that we discussed:
Knox Box, order form sent to you.
Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler Confidence Test — due now.
Fire lane on West side, Dumpster must be moved from the gate. I checked the original plans, that area is a designated
fire lane and must not be blocked.

Im sorry to bother you again today. But my boss Lance @ Morris Piha Real Estate Services says he wants to see how
many feet from that gate on the side of the property where we want additional parking for vehicles would need to remain
free for fire trucks. Before we proceed withe Building Inspector. In case we could put a few spots for cars along that curb.
Thank you

Pre -application meeting
January 29, 1999 - 9:30 a.m.
Applicant: Butterfield Design Group, Inc.
Site Address: 23031 Highway 99
Edmonds Storage Facility
Attending: RWresenting Ci1y Sta - Ray Miller, Gordy Hyde, Jeannine Graf, Lara Knaak,
Karissa Kawamoto, John Westfall, Conni Curtis.
ftresenting -Apl2lic : - Dennis & Nathan Chen, Owners; Otto Burden, Civil
Engineer; Brad Butterfield, Architect.
Ray explained the process we would be following, after which we all introduced ourselves.
Planning: (Karissa)
0 CG Zone
0 25 foot tall sip - face may be 56 sq. ft. per side, not based on lineal footage.
e Dr. Chen owns contiguous property - four tax lots.
0 Major ADB project- SEPA required.
e No boat or RV (outside) storage allowed. If allowed, would require a CU permit.
0 Landscaping:
- Property located next to multifamily and single family zone. Security is a primary
concern.
- Applicant indicated one idea was to place 6-foot fence on property line, landscaping
from the fence back onto the property. Another idea was to set the fence onto the
property with a berm and bushes on the outside. To provide security, the idea was to
place barbed wire atop the fence. Karissa mentioned that the barbed wire may put the
fence higher than the allowed 6 feet. In that case, a variance would have to be
applied for. Applicant indicated that a variance was not an option.
- 15 foot setback on the residential side.
- Landscape plan to show trees which are to be saved.
- The parking area (3 spaces) is to be landscaped.
Garbage area is to be sight -screened.
Height calculations are required for each structure.
Building: (Jeannine)
• Owner must provide items that will and will not be permitted for storage in order for Fire
and Building to determine S I (combustible storage) or S2 (non-combustible storage)
Occupancy.
• Will buildings be heated or unheated? Applicant indicated the office will have heat while
the remainder of the buildings do not, as yet. They will have minimal heat if at all....just
to keep from freezing during the winter months. Jeannine indicated that the heated
buildings will have to meet the energy code.
• Require one barrier -free parking space.
• Is there a barrier -free toilet - can't tell from plans. A barrier -free toilet is required.
• Five permit applications are required - one for each building.
Page 1
Pre -Application Meeting
January 29, 1999
Butterfield Design Group/Edmonds Storage Facility
Fire: (John)
• John indicated that he had met earlier with the applicant to go over requirements. They
will either have a key box to access the gates or will discuss some other method of access
with the applicant.
• Need fire access (lock box) on gates that the Fire Dept. is to use for access.
• Fire hydrant coverage through the fire lane. There is to be a fire hydrant every 300 feet,
from hydrant to hydrant. John indicated they could have one hydrant outside both gates.
• Fire extinguishers throughout.
• Emergency lighting for Buildings 3 & 7.
Engineering: (Gordy)
• Applicant asked about maximum grade — one is more than 10%. Gordy indicated that
with a letter to the City we can go as much as a 15% grade, with approval of the City
Engineer. He suggested that applicant provide this as part of the Civil Plan.
• Need cross sections for site and centerline driveway profiles.
• Highway 99 standards apply, but may be moot in light of the SR99 Rebuild project.
Need to show detailed sections of Highway 99 frontage improvements with note referring
to the Entranco plans.
• Civil plans — dimensions for striping, curbing, etc.
• Drive aisles — show on plans as ten feet wide (one-way). Gordy said they should be.14
feet wide from curb to curb. Applicant says they have two one-way drives with
landscaping aisle between. Gordy said he would consider 12 feet.
• Traffic study required — referred to Traffic Engineer. Could get information from ITE or
do own information.
• Drainage — Applicant asked if drainage system can be constructed for this lot in addition
to the next lot which will be developed. Gordy indicated this would be all right if the
impervious surface is not changed.
