Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hermanns:
I am enclosing a copy.of the Engineer's report to the Council
regarding the resurfacing of the street in front of your home
this year. Also, may I draw your attention to the remark at the
bottom of hQ letter indicating that the street will be considered
for a permanent surface in next year's budget. This was the Mayor's
and my recommendation the night we read your petition in the
meeting, but it now has officially come back to us as a request by
the City Engineer.
Sorry again for the inconvenience to you and the residents
in this area. I am most appreciative of your call.

The condition of the above nentioned -road, 75th Avenue Woestj has
d�-_te�rierated from very poor to absolutely dangerous!
When the Water Departnt nt starttd th?!ir current water M21n up-
d2ting, we presumed the road would be pqytd upon c.o2pletion of the con-
struction.. But ;i telephone call to the! city enrineer soon ende.-I that i-ri3h-
ful thinking. We Were informm.d funds had not. 'been allocated for the paving
Project.
We as tax paying residents living on this street find it very
difficult to justify the fact th-t 75th Avenue West is paved on the South
end .(241st to 236th) and now on the north end (230th te� 75th Pl. W. ) but

The city engineer tells us that smaeti-ne this summtr the street
will be ."seal coated". This w'as done approximw4ly six years ago and since
then, at various times,, the chuck.holes, usually brimming with watf�r, are
filled 7-ith asphalt.
Surely, paving that lasts for years defray8 the co3t of trying to
maintain an impossible situation.
This read is a hazard ti the r-sidents that have to drive their
cars on it and anyone else that so happens along..
Our first recommendation is that the council members drive.their
cars from 236th Vfe�,t, to. 230th West b,,�f ore evnn considering 2 de�cision.'. We
rould apprteiate our road.tax dollars being used EAST of HiF�hway 99 also.,
mainly 7,�)th Avenue 'Nest.
