Dear Mr. Folgendalen:
I have reviewed your account and will allow a credit for the billing period between
April 17, 1997 through June 18, 1997 in accordance with our City policy. The policy
states that the customer will be billed at the retail rate based upoh� the average water
consumption for the same period during the previous year. In addition, the excess water
lost from the leak will be billed to customer at the City'.s wholesale rate with a 15%
surcharge added for administrative cost. Only one leak credit will be granted in any three
year period.
Should you have any additional questions after you receive your new billing, please

charge of $13.70. Some of the benefits you derive from this sewer
charge are: mitigation of pollution of Puget Sound and streams; pre-
vention of soil instability; increased sewer and storm drainage capac-
ity; increased sewer processing capacity; development, refinement and
improvement of comprehensive storm and sewer plans; and long range
planning for specific areas -now unconnected to the sewer system.
You,stated that you are a senior citizen. According to our
records, you have not applied for the senior citizen discount. Enclosed
you will find a senior citizen discount applicatTon, with the instructions
on the back of the form. Please complete this form and return it to us.
The discount is applied to the water base charge only.
