I am writing regarding the development of the large parcel of land at
23324 92 Id W. in Edmonds, which I understand is pending.
My concern is for the safety issues at the corner of 92 Id W. and 234 1h St
SW. This intersection is simply a sharp curve in the road, on a steep hill. It is
very difficult to maneuver the curve without crossing the center line when driving
from either direction. The problem is made worse by the fact that the pavement
actually narrows slightly on the south side of 234 th near the curve, forcing cars
th
even closer to the center line. There is a ditch on the south side of 234
I live at 23417 93 rd Ave. W. and I walk and drive in this intersection
regularly. It has low traffic volume now but is a neighborhood hazard, with
parents warning their children not to ride bikes there.
My suggestion is that the street be widened slightly and some engineering
be done to make that intersection less hazardous. Doing this at the time of
development of the adjoining land seems appropriate.

I am writing in response to your letter received by the development services department dated
June 16'h, 2004. We have forwarded a copy of your letter to the traffic engineer; Darrell Smith,
to address any issues you may have with traffic. Additionally, we have looked into the address
you referenced (23324 92 d Ave W) and do not have any land use applications or building permit
applications currently under review for that property. Nor do we have any permits issued for that
address.

officer for information regarding filing a code enforcement action request. If you have any
